A beautiful reception

Currently we are booking live music for every other weekend throught the summer, we hold
events such as dog shows, comedy nights, wine tasting, gin and cider festivals.

We are a great base camp for exploring.

The Gate Hangs High is situated between the market towns of Banbury and Chipping Norton, close to the village of Hook Norton. A traditional pub, campsite and & b&b with a warm atmosphere serving good food and traditional ales from Hook Norton Brewery.

Located on the edge of the cotswolds

Located on the edge of the cotswolds we are a great base camp for exploring. Starting with a tour of the famous Hook Norton Brewery, sampling some of their refreshing ales or ciders then coming back to camp for a boggy in the beer garden, watching the sun set over the rolling hills. Close to Oxford, Chipping Norton, Stow on the wold, Bourton on the water and Stratford Upon Avon we really are in a fantastic location.

Drinks are, of course, also sorted back at the pub (open from 10am to 10pm seven days a week). Cosy up next to the inglenook fireplace with a glass of something chilled, or book a table in the restaurant section for a locally-sourced meal
